Roman Polanski goes free...again
I’ve ranted about this a thousand times (obv. in other venues). Can’t believe they let this man walk free.
Upcoming
- Fly to undisclosed location Thursday night to see one of the greatest friends who ever lived
- Train to Manhattan on Saturday; spend that day and night in a 20th mini-reunion for the greatest summer program that ever existed (it still exists but has morphed a bit)
- Sunday, meeting up with a bizarre melange of other friends, including theater classmates from 1994, high school Jewish youth group friends, Berkmaniacs, and who knows who else
- Monday - Wednesday, enjoy the city (real bagels, the High Line, anything we want)
- Thursday - Sunday, back in Toronto, relax and enjoy before Monday back to work
- August long weekend, to Boston for more friends and my family
I started writing the health saga and need to evaluate a little bit before I post it - it’s REALLY personal. Still feeling like I need to share it, just in case anyone out there could be helped. But it will take thought and probably a lot of editing. Would rather think about fun stuff at the moment!

Good timing - my Crimson days were at Berkman, and Z is nothing if not transparent. And I’ve never been one of his blind admirers.
Urge
I felt like blogging again. Danger.
Been going through some things. Back in the bloggy beginning - was it 2002 or 2003? - The Redhead Wore Crimson was all about the changes in my life, the progress I was making. And then I stopped making progress. I had a tough few years after moving to Toronto, and I didn’t know why. Then I finally got hired at U of T (hence the Blue) but a month later started experiencing what turned into a huge health nightmare - a year and a half of agony. And now I’m OK, though it will always be with me, and I feel better, except for tonight’s headache, than I’ve felt…ever? I’m waking up.
There’s so much to think about. Vacation in under a week, friends I’ve missed for so long. Telling the health saga, which I think is my duty as a feminist, though I’m not sure how much detail to share. New friends. Shedding all the weight I’ve gained since moving here.
More soon.
